Did he announce this already? Jason DeVos was talking on TFC TV and mentioned this would be Dichio's 19th, and last season.

Yes, there was an article about this recently, but only in the last couple of days.

It's true, not much of an announcement though, it quietly appeared in this article. http://www.torontosun.com/sports/columnists/bill_lankhof/2009/03/18/8789661-sun.html

During his interview with Hogan and Toth on Thursday morning, he admitted that this would be his last season.

Actully, I kind of expected him to retire after last season, but I guess he felt energized by what he saw was coming into the club. Anyway, he will be forever loved for what he did for the club and the city.
So, will DD become the patron saint of soccer for Toronto? Will there be a St. Daniel Dichio soccer academy?

He'll always be St. Danny for us forever. What he has done cannot and will not be forgotten.

And the south end will forever be known as The Dichio Stand.

Why not? :D

If Toronto FC ever managed to get Henrik Larrson I would be the happiest man in the world. Seriously he would be unbelievable, best player I have ever seen, awesome. He is still plying his trade in Sweden, who knows?

Next years international friendly should be the Danny Dichio testimonial

He turned down Man Utd to stay in Sweden, don't see him coming over here. Would be fucking incredible though, King Henrik would make this league his bitch.
