I am not too keen on Saturday games showing on CBC. Especially during the NHL Playoffs.

If cbc is intent on delaying TFC games for hockry then TFC should insist that GOL be allowed to show the game from the start and cbc could join
on later...cbc is crap anyways..but se if they will do the right thing if this situation arises

The right thing for cbc is to show hockey. The good thing is that all those cbc games are home games, which means I will be at BMO anyway. Except for the Seattle game, but that's in August and there is no hockey then.

It was said that Gol TV was going to be carrying 45 "out of market" MLS games...no season opener kickoff between Seattle and Shite bulls???

Expressvu will come on with free view in the second week I'm told. After that most carriers will have all (or almost all) TFC games on Free View until mid summer.

Expect the smaller carriers to follow suit eventually.

Jeez Paul, you couldn't go until the end of the season?

that's it, I'm moving to Vancouver and supporting the Whitecaps!

(Do I need to put an emoticon here to indicate the lighthearted nature of the post?.....awesome news and thankyou!)

Maybe if we complain to Bell they will start it earlier?
I have already sent them an email.

Either way I would rather be watching it a Joe's, with a beer in hand.

From the site the entire TV Schedule is up:
http://web.mlsnet.com/schedule/scoreboard/season.jsp?team=t280

Only one tape delay game (KKKrew game) and it seems GolTV come on half an hour before so maybe a TFC TV pre-game show?

Best part is that so far every game is on and only 1 tape delay. I'm very happy.

No not is this lifetime..im waiting to see how they will bugger up the world cup next year!! My main beef with cbc this season is if hockey playoffs
are running into TFC time will they let Gol show it live to the TFC audience or will the cbc tape delay or join in progress...i would rather se the whole game live on gol...The quicker the cbc;'s budget gets cut the better.

The quicker the cbc;'s budget gets cut the better. Then the quicker some people won't have access to TFC on TV.

More exposure is in everyone's best interest. Besides, the only station planning to tape delay so far is GOL TV.

Freeview that's great, to bad GolTV isn't available in my part of Hamilton(corktown).. and it's not likely to be available anytime soon according to Cogeco, very frustrating.

All part of MLSE's decision to ride the footy wave. The rumoured BMO expansion, TFC on radio, GolTV purchase....

So now that the dust has settled ... what DID happen to the alleged GOLTV freeview of the Opener on Rogers? Clearly it didn't happen ...

As far as we can tell... The marketing people at rogers didn't talk to the technical people. But we're not sure.

Bingo.
Product mgmt screwed up.
Did not convey the requirements to the techs.
They are working on fixing it for Columbus.

You would think that if you're advertising it, you're delivering it. Especially the opening game of the season...

But this would be par for the course for Rogers.

I got a reply today from Rogers. Unfortunately, they wrote that: "In your recent email, you have inquired about Gol TV being on free preview. We have researched your request and are not able to confirm that GOL TV will be on free preview this weekend."LOL! I e-mailed them back last week, trying to confirm that they were saying that there was no free preview, yet their website implied otherwise.

And they actually (finally) e-mailed me back today to confirm that there was no free preview!

I'm sure your all shocked to hear that you didn't actually see a free preview on Saturday! ROTFLMAO.
