Anyone if KC vs TFC will have the game somewhere online. (not DKs)

any of the P2P sites maybe?

I'm absolutely sick of paying for more channels.

You can no longer buy Goal TV on it's own on Bell expressvu. You have to buy a thme pack Still only $3 a month though.

Although, I would be willing to get DK for $20 a year.

Anyone have experience with it? Is the quality good?

i liked the MLS's online service, even when it was 400K. It doesn't show all the games (some are blocked from online broadcast) but it was nice. You don't have to deal with all the P2P crap that comes up sometimes. I liked to use it to get to know the opposition.
800K should be much sweeter. And $20 for the whole season is dirt cheap.

why doesn't it show all the games?

thats kind of stupid. MLS should be my first source to view games

cuz ESPN and others have total rights to some games. They want people to watch it on TV not the internet. I also think some TFC games are not available... it checks your IP address and if yer in TFC's market, it's not available. They want you to watch on CBC (or CBC online).

Also,

can I watch direct kicks form any computer? Or do I have to be at my home IP address?

you can watch from any comp.
basically you go to MLS' video page, click on the view link of the game you want, and it takes you to a login page. Type in your email and password, and you can watch it.

I know how you feel. I was in your exact position and getting this through Rogers just wasn't an option for me either.

I complained about it here and got a bitch slapping. I still think the principle of putting Toronto FC games on a specialty digital channel is unfair to the fans who live in the city, but obviously most people disagree with me.

In the end, i'd recommend switching to Bell. I'm in the process of doing it right now. (i didn't think i could before because i live in a condo, but it turns out my building has a main satellite on the roof, so getting bell is a possibility). In the end, i'll be getting way more channels, and i'll be paying considerably less per month.

My days of overpaying for shoddy cable are done. Rogers can go to hell as far as i'm concerned.

Also looking forward to the "mythical" TSN2.

That's not DK you'd be buying...

DK = DirectKick, which is a cable/satellite package available only to U.S. customers which features just about every game (similar to the NHL's Centre Ice package). Costs around $200 for a season's subscription, if I recall. Rogers was looking at adding it to their lineup last year, but didn't for whatever reason (probably low demand).

What you want is MLS Match Center (formerly MLSlive.tv). That's the online streaming service.

so that $2 turns into $40If you have basic analogue cable, all you need to to is rent the box; your other cost doesn't change. So it's should just add $7.48 a month plus the $2.69 for GOL. Or buy the box outright for $99, and pay $2.99 a month plus $2.69 for GOL. (though if you already have HD, I'd buy a HD box for $249.99 ... and then you get all the free Rogers HD channels that are in basic cable ... well, actually I'd buy the HD PVR for $499.99 ... can't live without a PVR ... but we were looking for the cheapest here so ...

If you were on basic cable, you wouldn't be able to watch the game that used to be on The Score anyways. (or TSN I suppose, if they carried anything ...)

Keep in mind it has to be the GolTV Canada stream, the US channel will NOT show it.
