Is BMO too small for this event?

Is BMO too small for this event?

Shouldn't be ...
BMO I believe is aroud 20,000 (approx.), KKKrew stadium and Home Depot are only 2,000 to 3,000 seats larger than us and HDC has hosted more than any other.

Also, It's call temperary seating (if you build it they will come!)

Home Dept is around 27,000

TFC was "promised" the BMO would hold a final before 2012..so i believe it will happen...lets make sure we build a string club before then to win it at Home!!

I'd love to see the MLS Cup in Toronto but I just don't think it's going to happen. Weather could be an issue for us getting this game. I can't see that the MLS is going to want it's marquee match-up played in cold weather (possibly rain) in Canada in a stadium without a roof.

Pizza Hut Park has held the MLS Cup twice already (21000 seats), so no, BMO is not too small.

But I guess when TFC makes it to the MLS Cup this season, Seattle will have enough seats to accommodate us all :)

And thus endeth the policy of holding this thing at soccer-specific stadiums... MLS is just confusing the hell out of me these days.

^ It never was a policy. Just like the myth of new clubs requiring a SSS. Not true. Its encouraged, but not in any way an absolute necessity.

I suppose that's what I meant. For a while Garber was adamant that clubs have an SSS, now it doesn't seem to matter.

Yeah, I mean don't get me wrong, the league loves to see a team playing out of an SSS. It's just not a make-or-break sorta thing.

How the EFF does that happen?
Before Seattle even plays a game the city gets the final???
I suppose Toronto will have to prove itself as a "soccer city" first.

Oh wait...I know.
We had the U20 world cup in 07, the ASG in 2008 so maybe it evens out.

BMO is a shithole lets be honest .. The MLS cup would not want to showcase in the cold and a highschool stadium , just wouldn't look good..

We all know BMO Field is not the greatest.

but come on TFC would rock that place.

You could close down the whole area and create a crazy party outside as there wont be enough tickets for all us TFC FANS

There's a direct flight from Taipei to Seattle.

I'd be there! :D

C'mon TFC!!!
