I thought to myself "Wow he speaks very good English" . . . then I went to the wiki page about the Gambia and it turns out that it’s the official language.

He mentioned that he’s part of the Mandinka tribe - a prominent ethnic group in Western Africa, turns out a lot of big time footballers are as well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandinka_people (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandinka_people)

cool... he certainly doesn't look like a teen in physical stature... and his game (in those little clips) looks pretty smart. maybe he can contribute sooner than the typical teen.

Surprised me as well, and I don't consider myself geographically ignorant :) .

Honestly though, he looks like a MONSTER if he's 17. Ibbe should get some nutritional tips from him :D:D.

Very excited!

After reading National Geographic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Geographic), Mr. T (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._T) first saw the hairstyle for which he is now famous, on a Mandinka warrior. He felt that adopting the style was a powerful statement about his origins. He has also claimed that he is a descendant of the Mandinka tribe.[citation needed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)]

Mandinka is an early Sinead O'Connor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinead_O%27Connor) song from her 1987 album The Lion and the Cobra.

I thought the same thing when I heard that! Every player should always be aiming for winning the league and not just making the playoffs!

Im loving the diversity of our team ...

We have an old, old wooden ship an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era?

Awesome.

Back on topic, I like the way we are looking around the world to find guys instead of just sitting in England/Irleand/Scotland and trying to find players who wil leither leave when good, or just plain are no good.

I Love The Kid, He Watched Franco Baresi. My favourite Milan player ever. It Does Not Get Better Then That. We Shall Concede No Goals This Year, if This Kid Plays. I am getting my son a jersey with this kids name. I hope he plays.
