They were, but for a club to get rid of a player, they still had to be waived (the equivalent of released on a free transfer), thus their appearance in the waiver draft though they've been gone for a while.

Ned Grabavoy would be a serviceable player if it weren't for the fact that TFC have a good midfield already. So no help there.

Does being put on waivers affect your pay? If his wages were only going to be ~$30K per season I'd be tempted to take a chance on Nik Besagno to see if we could harness some of that potential that everyone was once so high on.

Also, I've only been following MLS since TFC were founded. Are any of the players on that list considered servicable Centre-Backs?

Mike Zaher is a decent bench player. I wouldn't mind having him if his salary was low. He's a left back though.

Call me crazy but I like the MLS garage sale... Just curious to see what teams can do with these projects.

Zaher would be a decent pick up for cover in the back and on the left side, where we are a little thin. We also drafted him last year before letting him go during training camp due to roster numbers.

I was just thinking the same thing.
