I would say it's a fairly good bet at what they are hoping to use at this point.

Just replace the trialist with Wynne and you have our starting line-up (maybe Sutton in net).

Our central defence is beyond weak!

I hope not. Velez and Harmse in the center is scary.

This appears to suggest that Garcia is playing Right Back

Was looking up BK Häcken, aka clicked a few links on wikipedia. They are newly promoted to the first division, finished runner-up in the second division last season.

Garcia is a right back. He has played in the centre of defence but his natural position is on the right.

It should be halftime by now - they should be eating orange slices on the pitch waiting for the 2nd half.

im not to worried about Harmse in the back, i though Harmse did pretty well near the end of the season when he played CB, and could possibly be better than Marshall. didnt Harmse play CB for Canada?

its only Velez.... get him out. i would rather see Nana play then him

0-0 HT

as per www.torontofc.ca (http://www.torontofc.ca)

Toronto FC are tied 0-0 with Swedish Premier Division side BK Hacken in Florida. The best chance so far; Robinson played in Vitti who had a shot blocked by the defender

DeRo and Vitti and Robbo OH MY!
Mo's offensive upgrades this off season have been unbelievable. Lets hope this cohesion in our attack continues through the rest of the season. Would love to have had some highlights on the defensive play to see how the boys at the back were holding up. (Obviously okay due to the clean sheet, but in terms of play and ball control and tackling)

It's nice to finally see DeRos name on the preseason scoring list, and it's nice to see Vitti get another (offensive hopes partly justified)

Interesting. Now the question I have is did Cronin play LB in a straight sub for Garcia or was the formation changed to 3-5-2 with him and Robbo as the DM? Seemed fairly successful when Cronin was on.

Wrong and wrong. I'll put money on the formation not changing. Harmse drops back into defense, Cronin moves into the mid. Velez pushes to the wing where Garcia was and Harmse takes his CB spot.

I agree that we will probably be using a 4-4-2, but then again, what better time than the pre-season to try out different formations. 4-4-2 is what Carver has wanted to play for the longest time, reminiscent of his days at Newcastle.

? Look at the starting lineup again. We started with Harmse and Velez both as CBs (Robbo, Guevera, DeRo, Ricketts in mid). By switching off our RB, we either had to have Velez move over and play 3 at the back, or Cronin play RB (or CB if Velez slid over).

I agree that its best to restrain the excitement. This preseason is certainly more promising than last year so far but we haven't even gone to Charleston yet. Carver was still unpacking at the beginning of last season and this year he's been able to set it up the way he prefers to work it.

Whenever anyone mentions preseason success, all I can think of is that the Detroit Lions won all four preseason games before going 0-16. I'm not sayin', just sayin'.

Frei is going to be relishing the opportunity to shine, with Sutton out. I've got high hopes for the kid.

a quote from ives from yesterdays game

De Rosario was clearly the best player on the pitch on Monday, showing offensive creativity on the flanks all game long. De Rosario started the game on the right flank but swapped sides with Ricketts constantly. Ricketts also enjoyed a solid performance.
